The study involved the identification of secondary metabolites present in the leaves of Muehlenbeckia tamnifolia (HBK) Meisner. We performed a total extract of petrol (petroleum ether) using a Soxhlet with a yield of 2.49%, the extract was performed column chromatography (CC), to separate the secondary metabolites present in these fractions, the fractions obtained were subjected to gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) for identification of metabolites was used Nist database 08, of the Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas
